* lib: Move CRC32 implementation to librarydimitri staessens2017-01-144-113/+1
| | | | The CRC32 implementation will be used to ID objects in the RIB.
* ipcpd: Fix timerwheel testdimitri staessens2017-01-131-1/+5
| | | | | | | | Sometimes the timerwheel test could fail because of scheduler timings (an issue more apparent in Virtual Machines). When the first check fails, the test will wait for another complete round of the timerwheel. The maximum number of slots in the test is reduced to reduce the test time.
* ipcpd: normal: Create policies for GAMSander Vrijders2017-01-1211-111/+367
| | | | | This allows the selection of a policy for the graph adjacency manager. Currently we only support constructing a complete graph.

* | ipcpd: normal: Add graph adjacency managerSander Vrijders2017-01-097-85/+523
| | | | | | | | | | This commit adds the graph adjacency manager to the normal IPCP, which sets up N-1 flows to other members.
* | ipcpd: Let IPCPs bind a nameSander Vrijders2017-01-096-38/+25
|/ | | | | | | This allows IPCPs to bind a name, so that they can announce their name to neighbors which can then allocate a flow to them. Registering of the name happens by an administrator. It also moves the irmd_api to common ground, since it is used by all IPCPs.
* ipcpd: Fix state in ipcp_bootdimitri staessens2017-01-041-2/+3
| | | | | | The state must be set to IPCP_INIT before the main_loop threads are started or else they will exit if they reach the check earlier than the state is set.

* ipcpd: Revert normal IPCP state correctlydimitri staessens2017-01-041-0/+2
| | | | | The state of the IPCP should revert to INIT when pthread_create fails in the normal and bootstrapping procedures.
* ipcpd: Add boot and shutdown operationsdimitri staessens2017-01-046-78/+152
| | | | | | | These operations separe the starting and joining of the main ipcp threads into ipcp_boot() and ipcp_shutdown() operations. This allows the proper cleanup of user data and user threads after the IPCP is requested to shut down.
* ipcpd: normal: Fix bad unlockSander Vrijders2017-01-041-2/+0

|\| | | | | | | ipcpd: Refactor normal ipcp, initial commit
| * ipcpd: Refactor of normal IPCPdimitri staessens2017-01-0412-342/+463
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Reorganizes the normal IPCP a bit to make sure internal components do not need to access the state of the IPCP. The IPCP has now a thread calling accept and delegating it to the correct component based on the AE name (this used to be in the fmgr). Internal components are initialized upon enrollment or bootstrap of the IPCP. If a step fails, the IPCP goes back to the INIT state, if all components boot correctly, it goes to the operational state. RIB synchronization is still done by sending a CDAP start/stop and syncing with a ribmgr state, but needs revision later on.
* | lib, ipcpd, irmd: Proof of concept QoSdimitri staessens2017-01-038-41/+57
|/ | | | | | | | | | Now correctly relays the qoscube end-to-end in the stack. A simple function specifying the cube in the spec is used for initial testing. The translation is now done in dev.c, but it could be moved elsewhere when qos cabability matures and the need arises.
* ipcpd: Fix memleak in ribmgrdimitri staessens2016-12-281-0/+12
|
* ipcpd: Wait for operational state to start fmgrdimitri staessens2016-12-282-18/+10
| | | | | | The main thread will wait for the IPCP_OPERATIONAL state before starting the fmgr main thread by calling fmgr_init(), instead of the fmgr itself waiting for that state.
* ipcpd: Rename normal/path to normal/pathnamedimitri staessens2016-12-287-9/+9
|
* ipcpd: Hide the IPCP mainloopdimitri staessens2016-12-272-171/+169
| | | | | | Since the mainloop threadpool is created on ipcp_init and all threads waited for on ipcp_fini, there is no need for it to be accessible from elsewhere.
* ipcpd: Simplify ipcp_wait_state implementationdimitri staessens2016-12-271-11/+7

|
* ipcpd: Use high resolution seed for flat policydimitri staessens2016-12-241-1/+4
| | | | | This avoids normal ipcps using the flat address policy having a high probability for picking the same address when created from a script.

* ipcpd, lib: Refactor normal ipcp and cdapdimitri staessens2016-12-245-770/+347
| | | | | Refactors the normal IPCP fmgr and ribmgr, and modifies the API for cdap so that no callbacks are needed.
* lib, ipcpd: Add hashtable and PDU Forwarding FunctionSander Vrijders2016-12-213-0/+207
| | | | | | | This adds a hash table that takes 64-bit integers as key and uses separate chaining on collision. It also adds the PDU Forwarding Function, which the Flow Manager can use to lookup the fd towards the next hop. Routing policies will add/update/remove entries in the PFF.
* src, tools: Set/get timeout and get qos for flowsdimitri staessens2016-12-121-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Receiver timeouts can now be set on a flow using the flow_set_timeout function. Specifying NULL disables the timeout. The flow_get_timeout function gets the value for the timeout. This commit also deprecates fcntl in favor of flow_get_flags and flow_set_flags functions. struct qos_spec is typedef'd as a qosspec_t. The tools and cdap.c are updated to use the new API. Fixes a bug in operf client where the client's writer thread wouldn't cancel on SIGINT.

| * irmd, ipcp: Call select on FreeBSDdimitri staessens2016-12-081-1/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | *BSD accept() doesn't timeout on the timeval set by setsockopt SO_RCVTIMEO. The irmd and ipcp will now call select on the irmd fd with the same timeout.

| |/ | | | | | | Changes a state of the IPCP to a more correct terminology.
* / ipcpd: normal: Fix errors on IPCP shutdownSander Vrijders2016-12-064-17/+19
|/ | | | | This fixes several bad cleanups in the normal IPCP when it is shutting down.
* ipcpd, tools: Fix compilation on 32 bit linuxdimitri staessens2016-12-031-1/+1
| | | | | Fixes issues with uint64_t not corresponding with unsigned long in printf statements. Reorganises a calculation to reduce overflows.
* ipcpd: normal: Provide directory for registered namesSander Vrijders2016-12-0215-95/+421
| | | | | This adds a directory to the normal IPCP that maps names on IPCP addresses.
* ipcpd: normal: Fix release buildSander Vrijders2016-12-021-0/+1
| | | | | The release build failed since an assert was optimized out, which resulted in a unused variable error.
* ipcpd: normal: Address review commentsSander Vrijders2016-12-024-29/+35
| | | | This addresses some comments after a code review by Dimitri.
* ipcpd: Split IPCP state PENDING_ENROLSander Vrijders2016-11-308-90/+136
| | | | | | | | This will split the IPCP state PENDING_ENROL into IPCP_CONFIG and IPCP_BOOTING. IPCP_CONFIG is concerned only with configuring the IPCP with the bare essence. When in IPCP_BOOTING, the IPCP will complete its configuration by starting its policies, and thus making the IPCP completely functioning.
* ipcpd: normal: Add helper functions for pathnamesSander Vrijders2016-11-295-16/+138
| | | | | This adds some helper functions to construct pathnames. Users of the RIB manager may find these handy when constructing RIB objects.
* ipcpd: normal: Change ro_attr initializationSander Vrijders2016-11-293-144/+109
| | | | | | | This changes the way RIB object attributes are set. Previously the struct was called ro_props and it had to be allocated on the heap. Now it follows the model of pthreads closely. This commit also changes the callbacks of the RO subscribers to return void instead of int.
* ipcpd: normal: Complete flat address policySander Vrijders2016-11-296-77/+276
| | | | | This will add a check in the flat address policy to see if the address is in use or not.
