| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a full revision of the IRMd internal implementation. The registry is now a proper subcomponent managing its own internal lock (a single mutex). Some tests are added for the registry and its data structures. Some macros for tests are added in <ouroboros/test.h>. Flow allocation is now more symmetric between the client side (alloc) and server size (accept). Each will create a flow in pending state (ALLOC_PENDING/ACCEPT_PENDING) that is potentially fulfilled by an IPCP using respond_alloc and respond_accept primitives. Deallocation is split in flow_dealloc (application side) and ipcp_flow_dealloc (IPCP side) to get the flow in DEALLOC_PENDING and DEALLOCATED state. Cleanup of failed flow allocation is now properly handled instead of relying on the sanitizer thread. The new sanitizer only needs to monitor crashed processes. On shutdown, the IRMd will now detect hanging processes and SIGKILL them and clean up their fuse mountpoints if needed. A lot of other things have been cleaned up and shuffled around a bit. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The read functions for the RIB will now receive the full path, instead of only the entry name. For IPCPs, we organized the RIB in an /<ipcp>/<component>/entries structure with a directory per component, so we don't need the full path at this point. For process flow information, it's a lot more convenient to organize it the following way /<pid>/<fd>/stat We can then register/unregister the flow descriptor when the frct instance is created, and for getting the stats, we'd know the flow descriptor from the fuse file path. If we would create a file per flow instead of a directory per flow, something like /<pid>/flows/<fd> we'd need to do additional bookkeeping to list the contents of that directory (we would need to track all flows with an active FRCT instance), that fuse knows because it tracks the directories. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The rib_pack function allows packing a subtree of the RIB for dissemination. The options PACK_HASH_ROOT and PACK_HASH_ALL will add the hashes for the root object of the packed subtree or every object to the packed message respectively. Checking of the hashes is currently only performed at the top level object, verifying the complete operation. The rib_unpack function unpacks a packed message and inserts its contents in the RIB. The option UNPACK_CREATE flags that the unpack operation is allowed to create new objects, else it will only update existing objects. More advanced options could be added in the future. The packed message structure uses Google Protocol Buffers, as defined in ro.proto. It adds tests for these functions to the rib_test.

The new RIB is implemented as a tree with doubly linked nodes (parents keep a link to each child, each child keeps a link to its parent). An index is kept in a btree using CRC32 hashes of the path name in the RIB. Nodes keep an SHA3-256 hash value that is unique for the entire subtree. This allows quick checks to see if two RIB subtrees are in sync. The event system for the RIB is based on the event system for flows (fqueue), but implemented completely in dynamic memory using linked lists. An initial test is performed for the RIB. This PR does not modify existing code to use the new RIB.
